The Opportunity
The Vice President (VP) of Product Marketing is pivotal in steering a business toward success through meticulous oversight of product marketing strategy and execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of market trends and consumer behavior, as well as the ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments.
Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee a team of distributed product marketers, offering coaching, direction, and guidance, with clear prioritization.

Formulate and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies and plans to enhance product adoption, drive greater pipeline and close/won ARR.

Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights. Utilize this information to shape product positioning, messaging, vision, and pricing and inform our product roadmap.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure seamless alignment and effective execution.

Craft compelling and distinctive product messaging and positioning that resonates with target customers, effectively conveying the value and benefits of our products.

Collaborate closely across the marketing team to execute integrated marketing campaigns and supporting sales plays (which the sales and business development teams can execute against) that generate demand, elevate brand awareness, and foster customer acquisition.

Develop and deliver highly effective product marketing collateral, sales tools, sales enablement materials, presentations, product videos, and case studies to accelerate revenue growth and drive customer engagement.

Spearhead product launches by working closely with the product management, sales, and marketing teams to create launch plans, sales training materials, and go-to-market strategies.

Assist in driving compelling stories and strategies for AR/PR effectiveness.

Track and analyze key performance metrics to gauge the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, offering data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
What You Bring To The Role
-
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in the product marketing field, with at least 3 years in a senior product marketing leadership role.
-
Minimum of 10 years experience in B2B software, with at least 3 years within Enterprise SaaS business models, experience selling into global markets, and a proven track record of driving and accelerating revenue / ARR growth.

Familiarity with top sales strategies frameworks, including Challenger, JOLT, Solution selling a plus.

Track record selling effectively into segments inducing Agency, IT Services, Business Consulting, and/or B2B Software, a plus.

Familiarity with professional services functions, and their challenges a plus.

A deep appreciation for product marketing science and best practices, including metrics, pricing and packaging, messaging, storytelling, and beyond.

Proven proficiency in leadership and people management, possessing the ability to inspire and motivate teams effectively.

Polished presentation skills, with the ability to engage end clients, new prospects, internal stakeholders, and large audiences.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling the clear and concise articulation of complex concepts without corporate-speak.

Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a robust analytical mindset.

A proven track record of successful product launches and driving cross-functional release team alignment, defining and tracking all goals and KPIs.

A master of multitasking. Highly effective project management skills, including clear prioritization and simultaneous management of multiple projects and deadlines.

Proficient in market research and analysis, with the capacity to gather and interpret data to shape informed marketing strategies and decisions.

Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork abilities, including the skill to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Industry and market trends awareness and the ability to stay abreast of the latest developments and leverage them to drive effective marketing strategies.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and product development processes.

Knowledge of digital marketing channels and strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $195,000 USD – $230,000 USD.

This position is eligible to participate in a Company Bonus Plan.
